Votre mission

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The selected candidate will contribute to the Innov4ePiK RHU project focusing on pharmacoresistant epilepsies. This ambitious project brings together 11 academic and industrial partners to develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for epileptic and developmental encephalopathies linked to potassium genes. The project is based on cellular models, specifically patient iPSCs differentiated into neurons, glial cells and brain organoids. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of iPSCs ;

  • Implementation of neuronal differentiation protocols (2D and 3D) and initial characterization ;

  • Designing and conducting experiments in molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry ;

  • Implementing imaging techniques (for example, confocal microscopy and live imaging) and electrophysiological recordings (MEA, Multielectrode array) in collaboration with partner teams at the institute ;

  • Lab management responsibilities including purchasing laboratory reagents, monitoring consumable spending, negotiating with vendors for the purchase of lab equipment and bulk quantity items.

 

POSITION DETAILS :

  • The employment is planned to start immediately or upon agreement with the chosen candidate ;

  • Fixed term contract for 12 months, possibility of extension ;

  • Salary according to experience.

Le profil idéal

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Strong neuroscience and/or cell biology background ;

  • Proficiency with molecular and cell biology techniques ;

  • Prior experience with cell culture; familiarity with iPSC technology and differentiation is a plus ;

  • Preference will be given to candidates with additional strong background in molecular biology and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing ;

  • The ability to work independently, establish new techniques, interpret and discuss experiments is essential ;

  • Excellent organizational skills ;

  • Team-oriented and goal-driven mindset ;

  • Fluency in scientific English ;

  • Educational background: Masters or Engineering School.
